About Gullfoss Waterfalls
A local, cultural monument, the Gullfoss is a famous, and beautiful waterfall located in Iceland. Also, it is talked about, by a lot of people, from all works of life and is part of the Golden Circle in Iceland. Furthermore, The Gullfoss is located in the canyon of Hvítá river in southwest Iceland. Its precise coordinates are 64°19′34″N 20°07′16″W. Asides that, the waterfall experiences about 140 cubic meters of water, flows through the waterfalls every second (140 m3/s).
Firstly, Gullfoss’s source is the Hvítá River and has 3 curved drops. Secondly, its longest drop is 21 meters. Also, it is a tiered, Cataract waterfall. Thirdly, the waterfalls were written about in a novella called The Odd Saga of the American and a Curious Icelandic Flock. Also, it was featured in a music video of the band Echo and the Bunnymen.
