About Cayan Tower

The Cayan Tower once known as the Infinity Tower is a twisting high rise building in Dubai with a height of 306 m (1005.2 ft). Also, like the Burj Khalifa, it is among the tallest buildings in Dubai. Furthermore, like most buildings in Dubai which are built to impress, the building was furnished with very expensive decor. The building has beautiful Chinese synthetic marble countertops.

The Cayan Tower is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The coordinates are 25°05′12.80″N55°08′42.89″E.

Construction

Construction of the tower began in 2006. In fact, the shape of the building was accomplished by rotating each floor 1.2 degrees.  Furthermore, the long construction of the building finished in 2013. The building was opened to the general public on 10 June 2013.

Other Facts

Firstly, the Canyan tower has a cylindrical elevator. Secondly, on 7 February 2007, after the Dubai Marina was opened, the entire tower was flooded, although it was still in construction. Thirdly, the tower has 73 floors, 5 of which are below ground. Fourthly, the tower also has 7 elevators (lifts). Fifthly, the floors of the tower were made with reconstituted wooden floors. Finally, Tower was once referred to as the Infinity Tower, but the name was changed to the Canyan tower, after the developer said; “There are more than one tower with the name Infinity and we wanted something different, We are very attached with this unique project and it was a very conscious decision we took. We know there won’t be any Cayan Tower in the world and this will be the only one.”
