Broad Peak is the 12th highest mountain in the world with a height of 8051 m (26414.04 ft). Also, it is located at Gilgit–Baltistan, PakistanXinjiang, China. Furthermore, the top was first reached on June 8, 1957, by Fritz Wintersteller. Finally, on 5 March 2013, it was successfully climbed for the first time in winter.
Other Facts
Firstly, Fritz Wintersteller, Hermann Buhl, Marcus Schmuck, and Kurt Diemberger made the first ascent to the top of the mountain between June 8 and 9, 1957. Secondly, the second successful ascent by a woman was done in 1983. Thirdly, the first winter ascent was achieved on March 3, 2013, by a polish expedition team.
