About Berlin Falls

The Berlin Falls are the highest waterfalls in South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province with a height of 80 meters (262.47 ft).  Also, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in South Africa. Furthermore, the Berlin Falls cascades down from the cliffs, in shimmering beauty and has been likened to a  burning candle. The waterfalls were named by German miners, during the Witwatersrand gold rush.

The Berlin Falls is located in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It is also close to the Drakensberg escarpment (God’s Window). The coordinates are 24°50′37.37″S30°50′33.03″E.

Firstly, the Berlin Falls features only one drop. Secondly, It gets its water from the Sabine River. Thirdly, the waterfall was named after the capital of Germany Berlin. Fourthly, the waterfalls are actually accessible by foot.
